Greetings, all!

I have been enjoying these boards for a number of months now, and have learned so many valuable tips as I eagerly anticipate my first cruise, which is on the Zuiderdam, 05/21.

I'm wondering if anyone has gone on the HAL excursions to either or both the Kohunlich and Chacchoben Mayan ruins? If so, how was your experience? What did you find? Was one more satisfying than the other (if anyone has done both)?

Looking forward to your responses,
starry

Starry, Please click on cruise critics message board. Then scroll down to ports of call....you will find much information on the Costa Maya thread. We've been there and had a pretty good time. Have fun! Nancy:)

Thanks, Nancy!
Have been sticking to the HAL threads, so am pleased to be informed about the ports of call. Appreciate you taking the time to reply. :)

Starry .... As Nancy suggested, do check the Costa Maya Ports Board.

The good thing about BOTH of the ruins there is that they have not been completely "roped off" YET.

Since we have seen all of the ruins we wish to see, this was a good day for us and something you might consider if you have a bit of extra time:
