Does Regent allow a stop over in a connecting (European) city when using their air? The airlines said it was OK with them but not sure if Regent does ??
I know some airlines allow a less than 24 hour stop over for paid tickets but longer if it's a f.f.ticket.

Really doubt it Marcie. Tickets that allow a stopover are different than connections to a final destination. With Regent issuing tickets based on contract rates, doubt their tickets allow the stopover. Now, should you deviate which you would need to, perhaps they would buy you the type of ticket that allows a stopover with you paying the difference in price which would probably be pretty high.
Best suggestion would be for you to contact Regent, ask for the air desk and ask them. Also suggest you keep calling at least until you get the same answer at least twice from different people. Anything is possible but, depends on cost and willingness of Regent to go the extra mile for you.

My experience, which is admittedly several years old is that they do not. But ask your friendly TA!

Or better yet, simply call Regent and ask for the air desk. They certainly know what they can and cannot book for you. Then you are getting your answer from the "horses mouth" with no confusion. And I'm about 99.99% sure the answer will be no for the reasons I originally posted.

I am pretty sure that that would be considerd a deviation and might be done at a cost to you more than Just the $100.oopp for the deviation. Here is the number.1-877-711-7772

I agree that it would not be permitted (even as a deviation)

I was told flights had to be a certain class of service, such as Z for business, according to Regent's contract with the airline involved, and the flights had to be "married." So a layover would not meet the "married" restriction.

I think someone posted that on the travel agents board and the expert of frequent flyers answered

Kathy, can you provide the link? It would help for future planning.

Have has some second thourghs regarding stop-overs. Of course any stop-over would have to be thru a deviation. Don't know why, if the passenger was willing to pay the amount Regent wouldn't allow a class of service which would cover the stop-over or even allow point to point flights. It's simply a matter of how much the passenger is willing to pay over and above the normal flight from home to the cruise embarkation city.

The link would be to a travel agency site and that would violate the Cruise Critic rules

Aloha
Marcie, on our recent cruise with you, Montreal/ Fll, we stopped in SFO for 5 days. We had to pay the $ 100. plus $ 250.PP . But it was worth it for us to stop and see the kids from here in Honolulu. So I guess everyone's situation is different. But it is possible. Good luck, just talk to our TA and we will never forget your surprise look in tender. PRICELESS
We love you. J&C

So good seeing you & Christina again too !! That was such a great group, makes me smile just thinking about it.:)
...back at the ranch, I did call Regent and Rep said no stopover allowed but I'm guessing OK with additional $$.
We've "perked into" no deviation fees but in this case will definitely come with a price. It's that unknown $ or $$$. Guess we'll have to weigh it out as it gets closer
