An upgrade on the eurodam is 400pp. from a verandah to a deluxe.i dont think its worth it.cruise is 1/28. should i wait , and hope it goes down. i have a verandah unassigned right now.hoping for some kind of upgrade.

I'd pass on that offer for a 7-night cruise. I'll assume you've got two people in your cabin--that's $800, which can buy a lot of drinks, a couple of nice excursions, or some spa time.

How long is the cruise and where does it go ?? Only you can decide if the extra $ 800 is worth it ---- however, the deluxe suites are wonderful along with the "goodies" they includes but for me --- unless it was for one of the longer trips --- I would use that money to spend on myself and DH. Have a wonderful time.

Only you know if it is worth it to you.
Look at what the price is usually for that category..... is it a 'good markdown'?

While I agree that the amount you spend is up to what you feel comfortable with but to say that the amount is too much I kind of disagree To go from a regular verandah to a Deluxe verandah you are skipping one whole type of category and that is the Superior Verandah Suites. Personally if I was in a regular Verandah and the price difference was only $400pp to jump to a SC/SB/SA Deluxe Vernadah I would jump because I guarantee you if the price is that low they will not be there for long.

If you are in a regular verandah now the chances are slim that you will be offered an upsell to a Deluxe. The norm is only Superior Verandah suites to get the upsell offer to the Deluxe. And even more rare is the Verandah Suite to a Superior Verandah Suite. Regular Verandahs just do not get the offers as often.

Personally I would have taken the offer but then again we pretty much only book deluxe suites. Granted that's a bit of a hike for a cruise but I'd also have to look at what a deluxe would have cost from the outset.

For seven days, I would keep the money in my pocket.

If you are careful, that $800 will fund half of the cost of a 7 day verandah cruise for two people.
