Will be first time on Hal March/April. Been to these islands; price not that much different. My questions are: do they have nightly buffets for dinner (on port days prefer to go upstairs). Are the production shows better on one than the other? Also, since I'm not a lover of sea days, do they have enough "free" activities (trivia, lectureres, etc) on 7 night cruise? Can't make my mind up as yet. Any help will be appreciated.

The Lido is always open each night; you can eat there any night you want but pay attention to the times by checking your daily program.. There is also a Canaletto Italian area, free but you need a reservation. Also on the Eurodam you have the Tamarind ($$) which is Asian-reservation needed; also free lunch there but reservation also.

Shows should be about the same. Yes, there is always something free to do with lectures, movies, cooking demos, library, games to play etc.

We prefer the Noordam--it just appeals more to us. Don't know why but like both of the captains and crew and decor etc.

We like to see the ports and take excursions and usually use sea days to relax!

You will have a good time on either ship though.:)

I have not been on the NOORDAM--yet! The Noordam is the last of the Vista Ships and I am told it is the best of the four Vista ships. I have been on the Eurodam and I would sail on it again in a heartbeat--I prefer the Signature Class ships to the Vista Class ships.

Both are good ships with great reputations.

We love the Noordam...the Captains, HM's, etc. are great. One "plus" is that they learned from experience, it seems, and did not move the Explorations Cafe up to the Crow's Nest. On the other hand, Eurodam has the Tamarind which I understand is very good.

You have a "six of one, half dozen of another" thing going here!
