Eurodam Spa Stateroom

I have just received my stateroom assignment, I was upgraded from a guaranteed VH cabin to a VQ cabin.

I have read the HAL cabin description and on Cruise Critic, but, I still have questions.

If anyone have had the Spa Stateroom, what are some of the amenities not listed ?

I noticed that there is Vitamin water and Voss water on the table, is that a perk or pay for use ?

Also, what is the "countertop water feature in-room", it looks as if i is some sort of filtered drinking water apparatus.

Anything else you can please tell me about the VQ Spa cabin will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

My husband and I just got off the Nieuw Amsterdam yesterday and we had a VQ cabin on Deck 10 - forward. Amenities - well - there was a bottle of mineral water and 3 bottles of fruit flavored Vitamin drink on the desk - first ones are free - replacements you pay. The water feature is actually a water fountain - ours didn't work and we asked the cabin steward to take it out of the cabin. Slippers and robes are provided - ours didn't fit and it took a day to bring replacements. We never did know what the wooden pallet underneath the vanity in the washroom was for - but, we used it when water backed up from the drain on the floor - came in handy then. The balcony is at least 1 1/2 feet narrower - which really didin't matter all that much. Oh, I forgot about the 2 pedometers that we could use - with a warning that if lost we would have to pay for them - so, we didn't use them as the clip didn't look all that secure. I know for sure that I would not pay for a VQ - we had a VD guarantee and ended up with the VQ. The service from our cambin steward was excellend - we could not have asked for better. We had a lot of rough seas and being close to the front of ship we felt a lot of movement. Would I want one of these cabins another time - no thanks!!!

If you have planned a Retreat Cabana, they are the best place to be on the ship. I would take one !!
