They had a couple of good reviews on Flyeer Talk but hadn't seen anything about them here.

Here are reviews of Runner Bean from the Trip Advisor/Barcelona forum.

I have not used anyone for tours in the city of Barcelona.
I found it easy to do that myself.
I DID take a wonderful day trip out of the city with
Spanish Trails.

We also had a great time with Runnerbean! We did the Old City Tour in October and I wish I had time to do the Gaudi Tour. Our guide was fantastic and I liked the fact that you paid them what you thought they deserved. You can't go wrong with this tour!

We did the Gothic tour with Runnerbean a few months ago. Excellent tour with a friendly, knowledgable young lady. Definitely worth doing - wish we'd had time to do their Gaudi tour as well.

I was very pleased with my walking tour booked through Hola Barcelona Tours. We saw the Gaudi buildings, had a most informative look at the Gothic quarter and old town, and ate tapas in delightful places I never would have found on my own.

This past Oct. our group of 6 used Jose Soler (info@pepitotours.com) for 2 days of sightseeing in Barcelona and he was wonderful. Would highly recommend him. Got to see all the major sights and Jose was fun and very informative.

I'm not surprised that you've heard good reviews about Runnerbean Tours. I organized a tour with them for our CC roll call group. You can also just go to the fountain at Place Reial at 11:00 for tours. The tour gruide knew her Barcelona and Catalunya history. She gave lots of interesting information. She used a speaker as needed so we could always hear her clearly. She stayed around after the tour to answer questions and give suggestions on where to have lunch. It was well worth the €11 we paid. Private tours have a set price for different size groups. The just-show-up-and-take-the-tours are free but tips are accepted. Those I talked to who took our tour were pleased with the service.
