Even better than that is:

agree, best feeling is your cruise is paid off, and you leave tomorrow, and to add to that, it's a world cruise! Ahhhhhh

While final payment is great I'd have to say it really hits us when we step on the plane to head to whatever port. Certainly before then we get this kind of up and down rushes as we go through initial booking, final payment, planning and booking excursions, flight arrangements, and hotel arrangements. Those are all good but since stuff can, and has, happen right up until we actually leave home there's always this final sense of reality that boarding the plane for the port brings on.

My best feeling is when I set my foot for the first time on the ship and am greeted by a huge smile from a crew member. All my stress just ebbs away as I know that for the next week, I will have no stress, worries, or lack of sleep. For me, cruising is the only holiday that provides me with this feeling of well-being and that's why I keep coming back every year.

Woohoo! Congratulations :D
From one budgeter to another, if your budget permits it, look into buying yourself some OBC through the website. By the time we sail, we usually have most of our onboard expenses paid for, too, using the OBCs we've purchased. That's a pretty nice feeling, too -- knowing there won't be an enormous credit card bill at the end.

Booking in advance has advantages. Paying cruises in full plus all the other stuff is part of the whole cruise experience for me. Luv the feeling!! :D

My best feeling pre-embarkation is when there's a preice drop before final payment. :D

We've done that in the past & with our PIF so early, we will probably do it again.
