At approx. 5:00 PM today you can watch the beautiful MS Rotterdam and MS Noordam and other cruise ships Sail-Away from Port Everglades, FL

Yesterday, The Hal ships, won hands down for two of the greatest Horn performances I have ever witnessed. Will their be a repeat today? Join us and see.

Yes that certainly was the best horn blowing ever. We will be watching the sail away to-day, as we will be on the Rotterdam Jan 4, for our longest cruise ever. We have done max. Of 14 days a cruise, but this time it will be 60.
You must be getting anxious. For the 25th.

We were on the MS Rotterdam for a 16 day TA from Fl to Rotterdam this May. I hope you enjoy Her and it's wonderful crew as much as we did.

Ready to go!

We missed yesterday--went to Conowingo dam (not the same as a dam ship) and saw over a hundred--perhaps HUNDREDS of Eagles.
Saw the ships in port today, the Noordam is backed in and ready to go.
Chief--if you wave to me I'll wave back to you on Friday, you said you'll be by the seaview pool? (of course I'll still be here in Pa.)

Thanks, Chief! I missed it yesterday as we were off with three of our grandchildren.

Here's the webcam address to keep it handy in this thread: www.portevergladeswebcam.com (http://www.portevergladeswebcam.com).

No sound today? Or is it just my computer?

Was anyone able to hear any sound at all? I did not hear the horn nor did I hear the usual background noise. No sound of the ship going through the water. I have put the speakers way up too.

I can't get any sound. Is anyone having the same problem?

No sound here either, thought it must be our computer!
Really disappointing.

Here we thought it was our computer. How disappointing. Maybe after yesterday and the Battle of the Horns they blew the sound system hahaha

I just looked at their Facebook page and a while ago the operators said that they would be on a cruise until Tuesday and that there would be volunteers working the cameras . . . apparently someone forgot to flip a switch.

Hmmm.... I wonder if the people providing the webcam and most wonderful sounds took some "heat" for the wonderful melodies of yesterday???
If that is the case, so sad.

Did anyone else see a figure, it appeared to be on the outside of the ship, at about the cabin 4170 area?

Looks like we will just have to pretend that we heard horns. Either technical difficulty or last night horn tribute blew the amps or the City Council did meet and stopped the noise! According to the sites Facebook page they are on vacation this week and they will resume sound upon their return. Happy Thanksgiving week to them and thanks for the site.

The owners of the site appear to be on a cruise. The people running the cam are volunteers. So we thank them for at least allowing us to watch.

:o
Maybe she is waiting for the sound system to be turned on so that we can hear her horn when she does leave. :D

theROTTERDAM still has not moved. Iwonder if there is a problem. Late arrivals? Stocking up with more goodies after long voyage? Who knows.

I really do have another life so maybe will not see Her sail.:(

I had my face glued to the computer screen at work and almost missed my train home as I was watching the Noordam sailaway. In 10 days, I will waving from my balcony on the ship. That website can become addictive.

I saw the ship moving earlier, but it looks like it is back at the dock once more... Wonder what's up??

Always nice to see what the ship looks like at night with the lights. A view you don't get onboard.

MS Rotterdam a great ship and outstanding crew. Loved every minute of our TA aboard Her in May.

I zm glad the ship finally got underway. Perhaps if there is a poster on board, they can tell us why the delay.h

Sorry I missed all of it...a longtime friend stopped in at the witching hour...5 PM...and it would have been rude if I'd sat down at my computer in the room next to where DH and he were chatting!

Sorry to hear the sound was down...but at least you all got to see the two sailaways. I see that the Seabourn is still in port?
