Anyone ever stay in one of these cabins? Can you see inside the rooms from the deck?

Have stayed in one of these cabins on Amsterdam and loved it. You cannot see into the room from the outside during the day. The windows are coated and reflective and you really, really cannot see in. BUT at night, when lights are on in the cabin, you can see everything clearly in the cabin through the window from the outside, so make sure the drapes are closed!!

I loved this cabin location, just steps away from the biggest balcony! Enjoy, m--

We've had four cabins on the Lower Promenade of R and S class ships, and think they're great. Even at night it is very difficult to see in because of the very bright lights on the deck that stay on all night. Maybe if somebody pressed their nose against the glass they could see in, but those just walking by can not. The picture below was taken with the drapes wide open and every light in the room on.

I have had a stateroom on this deck on the MS Maasdam (415) and loved it. During the day you can not see in, but like the previous poster said, close the drapes at dark. Really nice stateroom with the ability of easy access to the walk around deck. Lucky you!:)

Another thing when considering booking one of these lanai staterooms is the fact that the deck hands will be spraying the windows/walls/decks early every morning, so you may be awakened by the forceful blast of water against the window of your stateroom! ;):D

I had a stateroom on the Maasdam's promenade deck (Deck 6 cabin 386) that was located below the dishwasher in the galley (which is on the deck above). You could hear the dishes clanging while being loaded and unloaded from the washer and noise from the water pipes when they started it up and rinsed them all night long. I'm a sound sleeper but it kept my DW up all night. The noise from the galley affects several cabins on both sides of the ship. Look on the deck plan on deck 7 and if you are below a blanked out area, your are probably below the galley. Fortunately the newer ships don't have this issue.

The cabins location however couldn't have been better, a short walk to the door and you were outside on a beautiful balcony with lounge chairs. Bring earplugs.

The problem cabins are aft of one of the cross hallways, and the port side seems to be better than the starboard. I've never been in any of these cabins, but jtl513 has (he provided the photo, above). My knowledge is limited to having posted a list of the problem cabins by cabin number, to enable future searches for galley noise.
