Uh oh, I think it's time we finally admitted something - I believe we are addicted to cruising. (first it was just me, now DH is addicted too!) We returned from a Panama Canal cruise only 3 weeks ago and all we've been able to focus on was our wonderful cruise experience. This afternoon after work we made a stop at our travel agent's office and booked another one. (When will the madness end???) We've booked a 12 day Ancient Wonders cruise on the Rotterdam in October, 2006. I know addictions are supposed to be bad for a person, but this one doesn't seem to be - it seems rather nice!(sigh)
We haven't travelled on the Rotterdam before, so we'll be watching the boards for reviews and other cruiser's perceptions of the ship and service.
I really hope there isn't a twelve step program to help with this addiction!
Smooth Sailing! :) :) :)

Oct, 2006? That's not an addiction - yet! In a couple of months, though, you'll be checking out 7-day "last minute specials", or 4 day repositioning cruises , maybe a 10-day over the holidays (so you don't have to use all your vacation up at once).
Next you'll join AARP and AAA just to get additional cruise discounts.
Finally, you'll say: "you know, if we sold the house and liquidated all our stuff - we could buy a condo on a cruise ship!"
That's when you're hooked, and there is no cure.
But, like all addicts, we're all happy to see another person hooked on our curious lifestyle. Welcome aboard!

Well, you're officially hopeless. There's no turning back. No 12-step program will have any affect at all. Enjoy your addiction! You will like the Rotterdam. She remains our favorite cruise ship. Really wears the flagship label proudly.
