Eurodam 12-03-11 Mini Review

Just back from a very nice cruise on the Eurodam. Our thoughts on some specifics:

Lido Buffet - Good to Very Good (Loved the fresh juice selection at breakfast)

Main dining Room - Very Good to Excellent (Blackened Tuna was one of the best I have ever had)

Ship - Excellent (Really liked size and decor)

Crew - Excellent (Actually they were GREAT)

Musical Program - Very Good to excellent (string group was just great and really enjoyed the HAL Cats)

Bar Drinks - Excellent (especially the Mojitas in particular the Blue Coco Mojita)

Beer Selection - Average (at Best...HAL really needs to get some microbrews. Heck they did not even have Sam Adams Boston Lager!...One or two drafts would be nice too....Half Moon Cay without Coronas!)

Show Lounge Programs - Pretty Good (although limited sample as we only watched part of one...not really show people so take this rating with a grain of salt or ignore completely)

Tamarind - Absolutel Excellent (Lunch and dinner were just great)

Half Moon Cay - One of my favorite places on earth! Mahi-Mahi at BBQ was very good.

Cooking classes - Excellent (attended both, learned lots, and had a blast)

Lifestyly Program (Tia Chi, meditation, etc.) - Excellent (DW really enjoyed them)

Overall - Drum roll please......Despite the lack of good beer....Excellent Cruise and HAL continues to deliver on the quality and value front!

Thanks for taking time to give your opinion of the Eurodam. We'll be aboard in 4 weeks:D. Really looking forward to it. We have Tamarind booked twice and Pinnacle Grille booked twice. Love cruising with HAL.

"Despite the lack of good beer."
We sailed Eurodam March 2009, absolutely loved it. HAL suits us very well when we travel as a couple.
I don't know if HAL reads these boards, but I would certainly agree on the poor beer selection. It is a very ordinary, unimaginative assortment. Perhaps my biggest peeve is there are no draft beers on the ship. I love getting a draft pool side late afternoon and relaxing in the whirlpool.
Maybe by the time we sail Nieuw Amsterdam next fall the beer selection will have improved!

Thanks for the comments, not sure I have ever seen blacken tuna but I am sure I would like it. We also always enjoy the string groups.
