My husband and I are traveling on the Zuiderdam on July 9, 2005 with our 2 year old daughter, and we are looking for any guidance or advice on how to make this a pleasurable experience for all three of us. We have only cruised once before on an older ship that didn't have too many luxuries or ammenities so we are new to HAL and cruising on a larger ship. Our daughter is too young for their kids club so other than hiring a baby sitter she will be with us all of the time. We have a VB class balcony room and are hoping to do breakfast on the balcony, but I don't know if room service will serve breakfast to rooms that aren't suites. Any ideas are appreciated.

Room service will deliver to every cabin - but it is more fun to eat it on your balcony! I'm sure some others who have cruised with small children will chime in but generally you'll be left to your own devices to take care of your daughter.
