Review of Prinsendam Nov. 7/11 sailing

Thanks for the review Kazu. You sure had many items going against you (late boarding, noro, missed ports etc) but still sounds like you had a great time. While it may be a while (2013) we are looking forward to our TA on the Prinsendam. I like you hope they don't do anything radical during her dry dock.

I noticed that you rated the gym as a 3 -- what was wrong with it?

A couple machines were not working and it was very limited - especially the spa - with the code red you couldn't use a lot of the facilities - it's much smaller than other ships (understandably), but I was just glad I didn't buy a spa package in advance.

not the end of the world - I'll do the walk around the promenade - but for those who cared - it was a big deal.

We did have a great time Kirk. and I really felt that the captain tried to make lemonade out of our lemons by giving us the overnight in Barcelona plus with the advance notice, at least we knew and I could reach my private tour guide :)

It certainly wasn't my dream cruise when I started out waiting, but once on board, we were enchanted:) I think you will like her.

For once, we are doing a Spring Transatlantic in 2013 (TA & Baltics Collector) so unfortunately we will miss you in November:)

The itinerary in May is so fantastic that I am going against my normal grain and doing it in the Spring:D

We did westbound transatlantics on the Prinsendam in 2009 and 2010, and both are among our favourite cruises. We, too, ran into a few weather challenges, but they were not enough to spoil a wonderful experience. The 7-day crossing achieved perefect relaxation. The ship is the perfect size and style for us, and we hope to sail on her again.

He probably would have been fine on this cruise. The place wasn't packed at 6 a.m. (I'm an early riser too):)
