Search Feature

Is there something different about the search feature in the past couple of days? I keep geting a message that I am not subscribed to any forums... and then it won't search for my requests. I never received this message before today. We did get a new computer this past weekend -- could that have something to do with anything? (I'm pretty technical illiterate).
