Dear fellow cruisers. Do the Holland America Alaska cruises have the BBQ on deck such as they have on the Mexican Riviera trips? If so, which night and what time does is start/end?

Yes, We had a great afternoon BBQ on the Oosterdam last May. They did it the afternoon after we left Ketchikan early. They served BBQ Salmon that was so fresh. They served the Salmon grilled plain, Honey BBQ, and Teriyaki. Lot of other goodies were served with the salmon. I think they also were grilling steaks but with fresh Alaskan Salmon that is all I was interested in.:p

Last year they had two Bar-be-que's during the lunch time. I believe that it was available from about 11:30 until 2. One day they served salmon, baked potatoes, salad, veggies and rolls. The other day was different kinds of sausage, rolls, salad, and they sold Alaska Brewing Co. beers for $1 each. They even offered raindeer sausage.
