Three last minute questions if anyone can help:
1. Is the ship's laundry full service, i.e. tee shirts/underwear as well as sport coat and dress pants?
2. Do the bars on the ship serve Coors light?
3. We have been on one other HAL cruise. Is there a reception for mariner society members even if you only have one cruise under your belt? If so when is it and how are you notified?

Have read here a number of negatives about this ship but remaining positive.

Thanks for any help.

There is both laundry and dry cleaning service. Sounds like you'll be wanting both.

There is both a reception and a luncheon. The reception is for higher days Mariners. The cut-off for invitations will probably be based on how many Mariners have a high number of days.
You will receive an invitation to the luncheon.

I just returned from the Zuiderdam a few weeks ago. In spite of the many public restrooms that were out of order, the rest of the ship was fine. There was one report that the public restrooms have been worked on, too.
The service in the Lido was as good as I have ever had on any cruise. I can't say enough good things about the stewards, cooks, and managers there.

Not certain how much you want to get washed -- but there is the unlimited laundry deal or laundry by the bag. These options do not include dry cleaning.

Since you have 2 sea days before you get back into Ft Lauderdale -- if there are a lot of Mariners on the ship (all the ships we have been on have quite a few Mariners) there will probably be 2 brunches -- you will be invited to one of them since you have cruised HAL before. The menu is very limited. They call it Mariner's Champagne brunch -- but most times you are given a choice of a glass of white or red wine.
