Our August 27th cruise on the Zuiderdam has us in port at Costa Maya from 11:00 AM until midnight. Does anyone know if the entertainment onboard takes place while the ship is still in port ?

Yes, except for the casino & boutique shops not open, all other activities remain the same....
Happy cruising....

DW was on Veendam in San Juan in January. Instead of an evening show, they showed a movie on the big screen in the show lounge instead of a show. I don't know what they do on Zuiderdam though.

I know I have been on "Inside Passage" cruises in Alaska and we are docked until 11:30 PM. The show performers get off right after the show and then they pull up the gang plank. I have seen both the Hill Brothers and Patrick Murray and Matilda perform while the ship is in port in Alaska. So the answer would be in the affimative.

My experience is the opposite. I've seen movies on "The Big Screen" run on late-port nights, but no stage performances in the Show Lounge.
The various lounges have the usual entertainment.
My conclusion, now, is that it will vary from ship to ship, port to port, and time to time.
