Eurodam had awesome happy hours in the Crows Nest and other nice lounges. Is this standard for HAL or only on certain ships:confused: Very relaxing before dinner:)

We are just off the Statendam for the holidays and as I recall they did advertise a happy hour every evening (late afternoon) as well. I think it was something like buy a drink and get the second for half price (or maybe $1) something like that!

Happy Hour is now SOP on all the HAL ships, but the execution varies. Some ships have it at different times, places, and what you get to "get happy" changes. This can be true even on the same ship on different cruises.

So true -- we have done Collector's Cruises where the times and places of Happy Hour changed from one cruise to the other. Also the rules changed.
When you get on the ship you can ask a bar tender in one of the lounges what it will be on your cruise.
There isn't a Happy Hour the first night.
It will also be listed daily in the Explorer.

Some of the bars/lounges have some type of Happy Hour.
Those near the MDR seem particularly busy.

Our last two cruises were on the Zaandam and Happy Hour was in the Oceans Bar and the Crows Nest daily from 4 - 5. Buy one drink and get the second for $1. Both drinks had to be the same. Peanuts or goldfish to snack on with fancy nuts on formal nights.
We usually went to the Oceans Bar. They serve hot h'ordeurves (sp?) starting at 5.
