Anyone had experience flying Air China from LAX to Beijing and Beijing back to LAX? The good/bad/ugly? Any tips for us?
Also, will have a 7 hr. layover in Beijing before flying on to Singapore -- what's the best thing to do to kill 7 hrs in the airport? (Will be back to Beijing at the end of the cruise for several days, so don't need to leave the airport.)
Thanks!

I haven't traveled on Air China international recently, check out their web site for meals, some time it pays to order a special meal. The crews on the domestic Air China flights were pleasant, though seats were packed in. What to do at the airport. The airport is a long way from the city. Trafffic is bad. Metro train okay. Where you arrive and depart can be a long ways apart. Though I noticed you will be going to Sinapore, not domestic. Lines to go through security can be very long, so getting back in a secure area might be a problem. Do you have airline club priv. You might wish to purchase a day pass, again check the airlines web site. Other than that check with the tour company that you are using on your return to see if they have a suggestion. You might also try trip advisor. There were not many shops, or places to purchase anything at the airport.

Thanks for replying to my post! We do not plan to leave the airport as we will be in Beijing at the end of our Princess cruisetour for a few days. Have found some info on a hotel/sleeping facility at the airport and may just check that out, too. No airline club priv, will look into a day pass.

Yup! Applied for 1 year multiple, just waiting for them to be returned to us.
Thanks for the heads-up!
