Is there a nearby pharmacy to the Embassy Suites, Julia Street?

Where is the streetcar in relationship to this hotel?

If you wish to walk to the French Quarter from this hotel, estimated time of walking (no mobility problems)?

Is it possible to take the Airport Express from downtown back to the airport? (no luggage with us)

From the looks of things, the French Quarter is a very short walk. Maybe 5 minutes?

Also, you would be about 4 blocks south of the St Charles streetcar. There is one along the river, but I don't know how far "west" it goes.

There are drug stores on Canal St. and also on Decatur St. There is a Walgreen's at 900 Canal St. & 619 Decatur which is about a block away from Jackson Square. There is a CVS across the street at 620 Decatur and also at 800 Canal St. The way they are building drug stores there may be a few more even closer to your hotel.

Depending on what you need, there is also a brand new Rouse's (grocery store) on 701 Baronne St., but I do not believe they have a pharmacy.

It is a LOT more than a 5 minute walk, from Julia St, to the "French Quarter". It's "5 min. to Poydras.

I would allow 20 minutes, (not power walking or running :) ) to get "in" the Quarter- say to St. Louis Cathedral, unless you aren't going anywhere and will be happy stepping in the "Quarter" from Canal.

For the Streetcar, just walk down Julia, until you get to St. Charles- simple. IF looking for the Canal St. streetcar, you are going to cross it, when you head to the Quarter.

Do a web search of Walgreens, there are several.

Will now do a google search for Walgreens but might just pick up the stuff here at home.
we hope to walk to the FQ unless it is raining heavily plus ride 1 if not 2 of the streetcars!
