Hello,
I will be cruising on the ms. Zuiderdam this saturday 3/26 and I was wondering if there is any age limit or price to the workout gym?
I can't wait till the cruise and I will be reviwing it for all who would like to read about it.
I have one more question,
At the Java Corner aborad the ship, does it cost anything to drink the coffe there? and Is there a age limit for one of those spending cards aborad the ship?

Thank you!

I do not understand what you mean about a "spending card" aboard the ship. You will receive a ship's card that will serve as your I.D. card on the vessel. It is like a "charge card", is your cabin door key, and must be shown when leaving or entering the ship. Is that what you mean?

I am not aware of any charge or age limits for use of the gym. There is a charge for the various spa facilities.

The Java Bar on the Zuiderdam is the Windstar Cafe. There is a nominal charge for items available there. (A Java Bar area does exist on the ship, even has the name displayed, but has never been used as such to my knowledge.)

I hope this helps you. Have a wonderful voyage on a great ship!

I believe we read a sign just outside the Zuiderdam gym that stated no one under the age of 18 for due to Heath regulations!

As to the gym, I think that the age is younger, like 16. However, they will allow children even younger into the paid classes ($11) and the free classes, such as aerobics.

As to the card, there are drink cards for sodas, if that is what you are talking about. The price depends on the number of days of your cruise. It is for unlimited soda fountain drinks (not in cans).

Health regulations? Do tell what you mean? My 16 year old daughter works in a health/fitness club, is a seriously competitive swimmer and a workout fanatic. She will probably jump overboard if she cant work out in the gym for 7 days. What health regulations could prevent a very capable, 16 year old, athlete from using the gym?

In all seriousness.

Sorry I dont know that answer, we did not inquire about the sign, we could be wrong as to the age limit as well, perhaps you could call HAL services and ask about this :)
