San Diego Cruise Critics Meet for Lunch, April 1, 2005

No (April) foolin'! How about San Diego-area Cruise Critic posters (lurkers, too) getting together for lunch on Friday, April 1, 2005, at 12:15?

Let me suggest Cafe Cerise at 1125 Sixth Avenue, San Diego, between "B" and "C" streets. Telephone (619) 595-0153. Take the Blue Line Trolley to the stop between 5th and 6th, on C. No valet parking.

I've had two very nice lunches there and the entrees were $8.00 - $12.50.
Not limited to those on any particular cuise. In fact, not limited to San Diego area posters, so if you are in town for another cruise, join us for lunch.

If you plan to attend, please post a reply, so I can let Cafe Cerise know how many to expect.

Well, there seems to be a good bit of interest in getting together. I have a similar thread on Celebrity, and we have 5, as of yesterday, who will attend on April 1st, and several others who want to but can't make it on April 1st.

Yes, we sail on April 2. Thanks for the suggestion for dinner. We have neaver been to San Diego.

We had two with last-minute things to take care of, so now it looks like a table for six, but I think I'll stay with the reservation for eight, in the event we get some last-minute drop-ins. List is Bengoshi, L11 (Linda); Casavaha (Greg & Coral); Lorraine (?) and iamIrish (Tom). Others are welcome, including those in town for the O'Dam sailing on Saturday.

For those not able to join us this time, any preferences as to location, i.e., downtown a plus or a negative? Weekday or weekend? Lunch OK? A number of you suggest doing this again, so how soon? May? June?
