I have a question about adding or removing people from an existing reservation. Yes, I know..call my TA, but I thought it might be helpful to ask here, just in case others have similar situations.
For example, I booked and paid in full a solo cruise for November. If I wanted to add a friend to stay in the same cabin as I am would she just pay the remaining fare?

How about the reverse? What if I booked a cabin for double occupancy, but I find out (before 75 days prior to the cruise), that only one of us will be able to make it? I'm guessing I'd be refunded for part of the cost of the second person, but maybe not due to the dreaded single supplement?

As a complete side note..I get really irked at the fee solo travelers get charged for traveling solo. I understand the rational (profit!), but it still irritates me.

Thanks

Last April My domestic partner and I were booked on the Oosterdam for a Panama Canal Cruise, 50 days before the cruise, my partner could not make it. Since I could not fine anyone to replace him....I was charged 190% (single supp) and refunded the bal (which was not a hell of alot). So to answer your question be prepared to pay single suppl. Yes you can add passenger your t/a will handle it for you...

Iggi--

Generally, the line will allow you to add a passenger to your single reserved cabin up to 2 weeks prior to sailing. Going the other direction, I dunno...
