Has anyone done both of these excursions? If so, which is best or did you prefer and why?
Thanks,
Albert

I was in Tortola in December. We took the ship's tour to the Baths. This was necessary since we did not have a full day and it is a good distance by jitney, boat and then jitney to the Baths. There is some walking and if you want to go all the way in, some climbing and bending and slippery areas in the caves part. It is well worth it if you are in shape and if you are not claustraphobic. I wore beach shoes on the rocks and in the caves and brought my own snorkel gear. You can rent snorkel gear at the first beach, but the lines were long and we were not there that long. The snorkeling was pretty good. Others avoided all the walking and climbing and just came by tour boat and swam in from the boat. It was crowded, though, but we enjoyed it.

We went on the Virgin Island Sail Away snorkeling excursion. The waters were clear blue and snorkeling was good. We went to Morgan’s island to the caves to snorkel, there were lots of jellyfish and luckily they were not the stinging kind. Back onto the catamaran to a private beach with one bar on it and a closet sized gift shop. The beach was pleasant but very rocky and sharp coral hurt your bare feet getting in and out of the water, we did wear water shoes however before we were able to get on the catamaran we had to take off our shoes and put them in a container, no shoes allowed on the catamaran, we would have protested had we known about the beach area so carry them in your beach bag and just wear flip flops to the catamaran.
Still it was very beautiful and worth the money! :)
