1/21/12 MS Eurodam Sail-Away And Others

Seems like it has been a long time since we got to watch a Dam ship Sail-Away from Port Everglades. Join us at approximately 5:00 PM Eastern time to watch the MS Eurodam Sail Away and many others including a rare appearance by the Queen Elizabeth.

I just opened the site and on the web cam saw a neat row of little sailboats passing by, like ducks in a row. The huge cruise ships in the back ground of these lovely little boats led and followed by what looked like security boats leading them out of the port.

It's not QE2...she's rusting pierside in Dubai. ;)
This is the 2 year old, Vista Class, Queen Elizabeth...newest of the Cunard fleet. :cool:

QE just requested permission to leave right after all aboard - before 5pm (not sure why, but before 5pm). They are leaving at 4:45 for sure!

Just checked the New York Harbor Web Cam. Pretty with the fresh snow on the ground but for us Floridians it looks rather brrrrrrrr!:eek:

Sometimes that 0.1 knots is just a deviation. Another Princess ship is on the way and a Muster Drill it sounds in the background.

IMO cruising will be become even safer after the terrible tragedy in Italy. The entire industray will be reviewed and accident investigations always lead to better procedures and safety.

Well I am back watching the sailaways. Got seriously depressed when we had to cancel our Eurodam Cruise on 3/24 because of DH job but problem solved and now we will be on the Noordam 3/26. I have never seen the QE and am looking forward to it. Hope the Euro toots her horn!
