We just got our cabin assignment on the 4/9 Zuiderdam Eastern Carribbean. We are in VC5163. Looks like it near the rear of the ship. Anyone been there?

Well robat, we will be in near your cabin for the Zuiderdam 04-02-05 sailing, so while I am on the ship I will post a quick review for you since I won't have time when I get back, since you will be waiting outside while I am getting off the ship :D

I'm afraid that I do not have any info on this room, however, we are booked on the 10/15 Zuiderdam in Cabin 5172. I will be very interested in any feedback you may be able to provide. This is our 25th Anniversay and I decided to book a verandah for me and my bride. I have sailed on two other HAL cruises and all have been in the rear of the ship. IMO, I prefer this location to the bow. I have found that there is quite a bit more motion to the front. In addition, everything that I want to do is usually near the stern...pool, lido, dining, etc. As a matter of fact, on our last cruise (Zaandam 3/01/03), we were in the very back of the ship in a Cat I (7088) room which has now been converted to a Cat AA suite. In 2003, that was the best deal ever!

I'll be sure to let you all know! This is our 8th cruise and on all of them we have been mid-ship or toward the bow.
