(mods: if this is in the wrong place or just not suitable, I don't mind moving / deleting)

Greetings from Port Klang, Malaysia!

It's been a while since I've registered on these forums, and even though I've read your posts keenly, the site is massive and I haven't managed to get round to posting much.

Port Klang Cruise Centre (or 'PKCC') used to be called Star Cruises Terminal under its previous ownership. When you cruise to Kuala Lumpur, it's very likely that this will be your port of call.

I've seen a lot of enquiries about Port Klang and Kuala Lumpur, especially transport. Tough for me to reply sometimes because I know we've got a long, long way to go to get this place done right.

So one step we've taken is to do a proper website for our terminal:
www.pkcc.com.my (http://www.pkcc.com.my)

As we start organising our info better, we'll add more updates and pics to the site. The vessel scheduler still needs a bit of work. As it is right now though it has the links and info to start you off- including a way to contact us.

Feedback (of any kind) would be super. Happy cruising - especially if you'll be around these parts!

Cheers!
Kamal,
Port Klang Cruise Centre

Could you please confirm that there are taxis available at the cruise terminal. Also how far is it to the KTM Komuter train?:)

Hi, thanks for asking!

There are definitely taxis available at the terminal, both budget taxis and luxury cabs (which cost twice as much).

The KTM Komuter station is not within walking distance, you'll need a taxi to get there.

It's recommended that you arrange return trips with the taxis. The taxis at the station have an agreement not to fleece customers, they've got preassigned fares to most locations and most importantly they know when to pick you up so you're not late for the ship leaving!

Can you please advise what the taxi fare to Kuala Lumpur is and how much time we should allot for the trip each way. Thanks. Arriving on Voyager of the Sea on 08 June 2012.

I need advice, I am a month in Asia and am not keen on going to another city KL so have tried to investiagate what is nearer to the port for an easy taxi ride. Is Langkawi very close seen there is an amazing craft centre there? I the town of Klang interesting as it is the Royal City? Is there enough to see in Jusco Bukit Tinggi or Little India in Klang? Thanks for any help.
