I'm not new to cruising, but I've never been on a HAL ship and don't know any HAL crew to email and ask, like I do with Princess or Cunard.

I have deposits on three back-to-backs (106 days) on the Amsterdam in cabin 1953 on Dolphin Deck. I like to be at the end of the hallway so there is less traffic past the door since everything wakes me up. Can anyone find out what is under the cabin and also what is at the very aft of the ship on the Dolphin Deck that might cause noise while sleeping?

As a Elite Princess pax, I'm looking forward to Holland American for my future sailings.

I have no idea what's below 1953, but on that stern area are winches that are used to tie up when the ship docks early each morning. I believe there's also an anchor out there, but I don't know how often that would be used.
