Due to flights from the southeast to Anchorage, we are going in a day early. I need recommendations for lodging for one night. Or can we get an additional night at the hotel where we begin our land tour?

If I were you -- I would to get lodging for that extra night at the same hotel. Will make less hassle moving from one hotel to another.

But if you don't get a deal, Anchorage is about as easy a city as it gets to transfer from one hotel or guesthouse to another. It's not like doing so in NY or in Europe.
I have stayed twice at a lovely and inexpensive guesthouse on G St in Anchorage before transfering to the hotel used for night 1 of the land tour. I don't know the CC rules though -- are we allowed to use the name of a hotel or guesthouse in making recommendations?
