Has anyone parked at the terminal while on a cruise. Is it easy to find, parking always available, and what are the logistics of getting from your car to the ship boarding area, luggage etc.?? Also has anyone found any hotels in the Boston area that would accommodate park and cruise facilities, with a shuttle or I gues a cab to the pier?? Thanks.

Black Falcon has a large, multi story parking garage very near the terminal. If you wish, you could swing around, drop your luggage with the stevedores and circle back, not far, to the garage. We visit at Black Falcon each summer and have parked in that garage many times.
You could roll luggage from the garage to the terminal if you are strong enough and think you'd do okay rolling across some fairly unevent cobbles you have to transit to get from here to there. It isn't a far distance.
Parking in the City of Boston is very expensive. You would have to be out of the heart of the city to find any hotel with free parking. There probably is something but you'll need to research to find it.

Thinking about a back to back on the Maasdam next year. What you said sounds good, dropping of bags and then doubling back for parking.
