Are you provided with deck plans once you board the ship, or should I bring the ones that I've printed out???

Thanks in advance.

Yes, you'll get a copy of the deckplans at check-in. It is a small, fold-out paper that fits easily in a shirt pocket.
If there are two of you, you can ask for a second. You may be able to pick up a spare (if you think you need it).

Thanks Ruth. Now that I'm basically packed to go, I'm thinking about all the little stuff. lol. No point getting one for DH - it would viewed as kinda like asking for directions. ; )

Just a suggestion here---
Once you board, and stash your things in your cabin, take a look at what's on the desk. There should be a copy of the Daily Explorer, if it wasn't given to you at checkin. Read that over, and look to see when ship tours are scheduled. (There should be more than one.)

Either plan to join a tour, or plan to tour yourself. Start at the top deck and walk back and forth, drop down a deck and repeat. Skip the cabin-only decks; just do the public ones. Take the paper deckplan with you as a guide.

That will really help you get oriented to where everything is.

More accurately, it is the daily program called 'Explorer' and not 'Daily Explorer'! ;)

Ruth, that's a great idea - we'll do that. It'll be fun.

If you're going to quote so often so that you can correct minor mistakes that were not the point of the post, then you should at least learn how to quote correctly.
The way you do it doesn't show as a quote, and creates confusion when someone then quotes you.

And why your correction of my little mistake deserves an exclamation point is beyond me.

WOW, with so many different things on the desk marked "Explorer", the OP may have been really confused if you hadn't jumped in and corrected this minor error.

So...it is a "daily" thing? Not to be confused with a "Daily" thing...

Good lord, talk about sweating the small stuff! Daily or daily, what the heck does it matter. OP, you will know when you see it.:D

You will receive a small booklet of deck plans when you check in. Leave your printed copy at home.

Another option is if you have a smartphone there are free apps that you can download into your phone that have the deckplans in the app. I downloaded a Holland (third party) app onto my andriod phone that has the plans for most of the ships. You just have to select which cruise you are on in the app and you get a countdown clock with the plans.

Now, can you tell me where I put my spare pair of glasses that i got specifically for the cruise? Lol.

Wow...I'm sitting here reading this thread mouth open in DISBELIEF. Some people really need to be a little less knit-picky. Ruth is a wonderful resourse of knowledge for many here (I could only hope to actually meet her onboard sometime) and to so rudely correct on one word.

BTW...this is how you quote.
