I also posted this on the Bahama ports of call board, but since I'm always on the Holland board (upcoming cruise too!) I thought I'd try it here.

Not really a "cruise" question, but since these boards are so helpful I thought someone could help out.-- I posted on Land boards and didn't get a response.

My 19 year old daughter and I want to book an AI in Bahamas over the 4th of July weekend. Does anyone have first hand experience with the Riu Paradise Island, Holiday Inn Sunspree Paradise Island, Breezes, or Radisoon Cable Beach? We are mostly looking for a great, clean, beach with water activities, and clean, nice hotel accomdations. We really don't need "gourmet" meals, or high end liquor (at least she better not be looking for that!!).

Any input for experienced Nassau travellers would be appreciated!! Thanks so much.

i stayed at the radisson for five days last june and would definitely go back. it has everything you're looking for, as well as the second largest (behind atlantis) casino on the island.

if there's a downside, it's kinda far from downtown... you can take cabs, but they're pretty expensive. my recommendation is to get comfortable using the #10 bus... not only is it inexpensive, you see more of the island (and its people) riding it.

enjoy! :)

How is the beach at the Radisson? Is it clean, large, or does it have lots of seaweed, etc. Are there water activities, snorkelling on site? If we decided not to do their all inclusive, how expensive are the on-site restaraunts, or are the others we can walk to?
