Tomorrow night DH and I will fly to Fort Lauderdale to sail on Saturday on the Eurodam to the Eastern Carribean.

This cruise is especially exciting because:
- We were able to reserve a "doublewide" VD verandah room.
- We will cross 100 days sailing on HAL (real sailing days) so we will get our medallions.

We thought for a while we would need to cancel due to medical problems. YIPPEE - we got the MD's all clear this week.

Joanie: I'll get you some pictures of the room.

All: I will not report on the vibrations but will report on the trip in general upon my return.

Way to go! On my next cruise on the Zuiderdam, we have one of the doublewide verandahs as well, and we will move up to the next star 4 days into the cruise! Have a great time.:)

jaspermycat,

Have a great cruise. I've got one question, what is a doublewide VD verandah?????? I'll look forward to your pictures on Joanie's site when you return, as well as your review.

You are right...it is all very exciting and I am very excited for you!! Even though we have yet to sale on HAL (Volendam in 3 1/2 weeks) I will love seeing the pictures of the room you talk about. Great on your 100 days too! As Ruth says, YIPPEE for the all clear from the MD...that is the best! Can't wait for your review on your trip! Have a wonderful cruise! Enjoy!!!!

On the eurodam and New Amsterdam cabins VD 4166 and 4168 have double verandas. We have been once on 4166 and are booked on the New amsterdam again on 4166. they are 18' long and 7 1/2 deep! Great verandas!!! Enjoy your cruise.:):):)
