That might be but HAL and I might add some hospitals use a spray on disinfectant when you come back on ship and when you get in food lines.

We used HAL's hand sanitizers and washed our hands with hot water soap all the time.

I love HAL's sanitizers, and do not understand why all the cruise lines don't have them!!

I do not know what HALs are like but the clear balls what you put your hand under and it deposited stuff into your hand were used on RSSC Mariner in Feb. I liked them except for the one coming back to ship. Hard to use with you hands full :p

I also don't understand how there are still people who use the restroom and then leave without washing his or her hands . . . yup, still see it! Yuck.

I have to agree with you. There is NO excuse for someone NOT to wash their hands after using the restroom. It makes me sick to touch the door after somebody with "dirty" hands has touched it.

I also see it often. I always use the paper towel to open the door if it's one that opens inward where I can't just push it open with my arm.

Yup....did all of the above. Washed our hands constantly. Carried Purell in my purse and used it all the time. Used the hand sanitizers every time we passed by one. Yup....used a tissue or hand cloth to open rest room doors. Used the tip of a pen to push the elevator button the few times we rode an elevator. Held onto DH's arm rather than the handrail when walking down the stairs.

There are no guarantees in life. We only can do the best we can do.

We had a guy in the office who I observed never washed his hands after using the restroom.
I refused to shake hands w/ him in a meeting and folks noticed. When asked later, I had zero qualms telling them why...

Bwhahaha! That's great Brian! :D
One of the things that concerned me in the article was that the antibacterial gels didn't do so well for killing germs. I know so many people who use them instead of washing their hands. People need to be informed that the antibacterial gels just aren't that effective.

They're okay (although not 100%) against bacteria ... but they do nothing for viruses like cold, flu, and Noro.
