Hi Everyone,

This question is for all you gamblers out there.

We always like to spend an hour or two in the casino before dinner each nite. Do they have any of the newer slot machines or are they basically the ones that have been there since day one?

Do they have a regular blackjack table? Not the ones with all the different variations on the game.

Thanks

I was in the Casino quite a bit. They have regular BJ tables but the most popular is FUn 21. THe variation is actually befecial to the player. THe only house advantage is there are no queens and the dealer hits on a soft 17. But the player winning a 21 tie is very advantageous. They have nickle slots that are fun, but Im curious as to what you mean by new. The newest type of machines I saw on the Maasdam were the Wheel of Fortunes. Any way I can be of service please ask

The had 3 $5 BJ tables, 1 $25 table and the Fun21 table mentioned above. I didn't like the fun21 table. A main advantage is the lax surrender rules, but I nver surrender. We always gambled after dinner since we ate late adnt eh casino was always busy even around midnight.
The $5 tables did get crowded, but always a lot of fun. The $25 table had 2 players, tops. I like roullete and it was fun but it seemed to attract very dower players, it wasn't as lively as BJ.

One caution in regards to the Fun 21 table. You have to watch out for non blackjack players for example. One woman who looked like she was on life support sat next to me, and doubled down on a 15. You can't play by the rules with folks messing up the deck, even if your at third base

I agree with that. I always tried to get 1st. But last week the players really seemed to know what they were doing. At the end of the week the tables were like Cheers, everybody knew your name and the dealers were quite chatty, for dealers.

HAL hired some good people in the Casino.

You saw someone doubling down on a fifteen??? Was that a hard fifteen?? Ovbviously an amateur(hehe)Oh well, sometimes the strangest things happen at a blackjack table!

Thanks for all the info

It was a hard 15 against a dealer 6. Worst part about it was the aside from the fact she was senile, and the pitboss and dealer were laughing at her, she pulled a 5 and won. Worse than that, had the dealer gotten the 5 first, he would have busted. Instead, i was the only one to lose at the table playing 3rd base

She won, didn't she? Sometimes you just have to play a hunch....

A hunch? I guaranty she didnt understand that she had two cards on the table. You would have had to see this woman.
