We are currently booked on a VE Guarantee. I assumed because E is so far from the letter A that this isl ike the LOWEST verandah cabin. My guarantee is supposed to be VE unobstructed view. When I look online (just went to cruisesonly.com for reference) i see that VE is more expensive then VA which doesnt make sense to me?

Can you tell me the difference between VE and the higher letters?
Thanks!

Cabin pricing, line airline seat pricing, is subject to many variables. Sometimes an SS cabin can be purchased for virtually the same price as a VA, for instance. At any rate, all of the veranda cabins are priced according to location. The higher the letter (A, in this case) the more "prime" the location of the cabin. And generally speaking, these will tend to be mid-ships where somewhat less pitching motion of the ship is felt in rougher waters.

The normal price on a VE is lower than on a VA.
They must of sold all of the VE guarantees they wanted to so they raised the price. It's weird, but you see it a lot.

When a category is filled, it is normal for HAL to post the "full fare" price you would pay if the category were available. Over the years, I have found that it is not unusual for "guarantees" to sell out very quickly.
