Marseille Bus to Aix-en-Provence
I'm confused as to where you can get bus #50 in Marseille to go to Aix-en-Provence. I've found conflicting information.
I was under the impression that the bus stop for the #50 was about 100 metres from Porte d'Aix. Was it here previously?
I've also read that you can get the #50 at the bus/train station.
If it is at the bus/train station is it practical to take the Metro from Vieux-Port to Gare Saint-Charles?
Thanks! :)

Yes, the Marseille-Aix shuttle leaves from Marseille bus station (which is next to and part of Saint Charles rail station). It runs frequently - every five minutes at peak times, and is much used by locals.
And yes, you can get the metro from the Vieux Port to Saint Charles station (it's walkable - 10-15 mins, but uphill and steep, especially right at the end). Here's a guide to Marseille's public transport system: http://www.marseille-provence.info/marseille-marseilles/practical-information-travel-food-climate/20-how-to-get-around-marseille.html
Make sure to get bus #50 and not bus #51,which also runs Marseille-Aix, but is a stopping service and takes much longer.
