Bedding in SS cabins?????? (Zuiderdam) [Archive]

Hi all,

I have read a few conflicting posts. Has the bedding been ugraded in the SS cabins on the Zuiderdam? I have a topper I can bring from home, but hate to waste good luggage space unnecessarily.

We had an SS cabin on 3/26/05 (6063) It did not have the upgraded bedding.

I read somewhere that the bedding will be upgraded in the Fall of this year.....I hope it's done before my September cuise so I can have extra cushion when I'm jumping up and down on the bed everynight from excitement!!:D :D nancy!!

Are the beds comfortable? I have the travel topper because I hate sleeping on a extra firm mattress. Do you think I need to bring it? Anyone?

Why not just ask for an egg crate instead of lugging something extra?

RuthC - Is it necessary to ask for that in advance? Bed might be okay without it.

I could sleep through the Second Coming so I've never needed one, but I understand it's simply a matter of asking your cabin steward for one. Quickly;) , as I don't expect there would be enough for everybody!

I didn't know they were available. We had an S on the bed on the Oosterdam and the bed was wonderful. I've never slept better(just like everyone reports.) I was hoping the SS on the Zuiderdam would have the same bedding. Anyone recently off the Zuiderdam in an SS: what were the beds/bedding like?

I thought it would have the same bedding as well. Last year we took an S cabin, this year it's an SS. Our cruise is in October and SOE upgrades are due on the Zui this fall, so perhaps if they're not the same right now they might be before our sailing.
