We will have some time (until about 4pm) in NO after our June cruise. We'd like to have a nice lunch somewhere before we head to the airport. Anyone know what we can do with our luggage? We certainly don't want to take it with us to the restaurant! There has to be a way to do this! Please help!

(Sure hope this message doesn't post twice....for some reason, it didn't work the first time! I'm new at this...can you tell???)

yes you can leave it with a company called Rush it. They will take it to the airport for you and hold it there for a fee. From what I know they are reliable and trustworthy. You pick it up 2 hours before your flight time in the airport at baggage claim belt #1. Cost is $20 for first 3 bags and $5 for each bag after that. Hope this helps.

They have a station right outside the cruise terminal. Expect long lines right after debarkation. It was kind of disorganized, and the staff is a tad rude, both at the cruise terminal and at the airport. But for $20 for 2 bags, you don't have to worry about lugging your bags all around New Orleans for the day.

Word of advice, if you want to get to the airport a bit earlier, just give them an earlier time for your flight, because it does seem they don't guarantee your bags will be at the airport until two hours before.
