Penthouse Suite #8172 - Alaska, July 2006?

Is there anyone out there who has booked this cabin or one of the other seven like it on this ship? Can you describe your experience? I'm thinking being aft, especially since I don't get seasick, will be a bonus because I'll be able to see both sides as we navigate the inside passage...

Our second choice was a mini-suite. Did we make the right choice?

Hello,

Just wanted to move this back up to see if I could get a response. We're part of a large group (Timeshare Users Group/TUG) who have reserved a lot of cabins on this July 06 cruise. We've also reserved Penthouse Suites 8170 and 8172 and plan on using the two for group get togethers in the evening. We're hoping that we can unlock the divider between the two balconies so people can move more easily between the two cabins. Is this possible?

If anyone can point me towards pictures, reviews, etc. for either of these cabins or the other ones like them on the Star or Dawn, I'd really appreciate it!

We just booked a penthouse on the Star for the 9/11/05 cruise, #11510. I will let you know what it's like once we get back. It's our first cruise so we're looking forward to it.
