Hi...has anyone used Catherine at provence-travel.com? I have booked her for private day tour out of Marseille in early Oct. She is taking us to the Luberon villages and other locations nearby. Any feedback on her would be very much appreciated! Thanks to all of you that reply.

stateparent - I'd love to hear how it goes. We have booked a tour with Catherine for July 24th (Marseilles, Les Baux, St. Remy, vineyard/wine tasting).

We used Catherine last October and had a wonderful day. She is an excellant guide and driver. The tour we chose was:

Aix en Provence in the morning : visit of the beautiful city of Aix with
its sumptuous architecture from the 17th and 18th centuries, its markets and
cafés, its mansions and fountains. Oct 21 is a thursday so you will discover
the city very lively with the big market taking place all over the streets
of the historical centre, a delightful spectacle ! The mountain range of the
Lubéron with its superb countryside with limestone cliffs, lavender fields
and delightful quaint villages, Lourmarin, Bonnieux, Lacoste... in the
afternoon. This is a very nice tour very well balanced which will show you
different faces of Provence with a limited driving

It was fabulous. We will definitely use her again. :D

We also used Catherine as tour guide last year in September when on the Oceania Regatta. She was excellent - Aix en Provence in the morning and Luberon in the afternoon. She is very knowledgable and very flexible.

Highly recommended - the tour was the highlight of our cruise. You will not be disappointed.

We used Catherine last May(04). We also did the Aix/Luberon tour which was fantastic. We were lucky in that there was an art fair going on that day and had a chance to stroll through it for awhile. The perched villages are truely a walk back in time. Catherine is very intelligent and well spoken, a delight to spend the day with. She even fit in a stop at a vineyard for a wine tasting.
