Portland- six lighthouse driving tour???

We are in the early stages of planning our 2014 New England/Canada cruise. Can anyone tell me if they have rented a car and visited six lighthouses within 20 miles of Portland. If so how long did you take and do you have any photos to share.

I found a map, and thought this might be something interesting to do on our own. I like to take pictures and we like the freedom of being on our own.

I look forward to hearing back from someone. Thank you

We did a lighthouse boat cruise while in Portland it was very scenic. It left from next to Portland Lobster Co, a short walk from the ship. As a side note, I was amazed at the number of lobster pots as we entered Portland (even in the shipping lane). The Eurodam actually got a pot wrapped around the 'prop' and had to launch the rescue boat to try and get it off, was quite something to watch.

We did a vacation all along the coast of Maine, from West Quoddy all the way down to York Beach and took pix of about every lighthouse they had to offer.

Around Portland, the Portland Head Light is the most photographed lighthouse in the country, and on a nice day, it is magnificent

The lighthouse at Two Lights State Park is also very nice.
