Well we recently returned from our 7 day Western Caribbean adventure. The trip was amazing, after hearing questionable reviews on the Nordic Empress I was a little concerned..they were most definately un-founded.
The ship was beautiful, for it's age I thought it was in great condition!
I was a little disapointed with the turtle farm on Grand Cayman, but 7 mile beach was great..I definately recommend a banana boat ride if you are there. Hell was the type of place you go once because there isn't much there besides a post office and some gift shops.
If you are headed to Belize, you can get a 5hr snorkeling trip through Coralbreezelimited.com, it was a nice outing but a little bit rushed....you don't have much time in the tourism village because to my surprise it took like a half hour to tender in from where the ship docks, and where you do stop for lunch there isn't much to see or many souveniers to purchase.
I have to say Cozumel was the best port we visited! After making your way through the international peer I definately think anyone goint there should hop in atxi and head to Chaunaab park, this is their national park which has a beach...let me just say the snorkeling here is better than in Belize! If you taike the ride you will not be disappointed, and while there head to the El Bucanero a little Bar right up from the beach and have a strawberry coolata in the huge cup, you won't regret it!
I hope people will find this little bit of information helpful, the last thing I will say is negotiate in Cozumel...don't be a ffraid to start walking away you would be surprised how much they will lower a price when you do this.
I hope anyone taking a W. Caribbean cruise has as much fun as we did!! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
