Does anyone have a recommendation as to where to stay for one night before a port can. cruise. We are looking for something nice, fun for teens, but not too expensive ($100-200 range). Would like it to be nice and relatively close to the pier. Thanks for any advice.

you might try the peabody hotel. I would look on the web for a website. They have the marching ducks in the morning and afternoon who march into the lobby fountian. Its worth staying in orlando just to see.

You might take a look at the Raddison at the Port. They are the closest to the pier.
I have seen several folks say that they were very satisfied with them. I velieve they are at the lower end of the price range you mentioned.

We will be trying out the new Ron John resort next month- it sounds like a great place that the kids would love. Beach, pool, waterslide, mini-golf, movie theatre, very close to port and only a few months old, what's not to love...hope it's as good as it sounds!

We just returned from a Disney Cruise and we stayed at the Radisson at the port. I booked the room online through Expedia. I got a suite with a whirlpool tub for 120.00. The room was nice. The pool was great. They also offer free shuttle to the various ports...just call them before you arrive and tell them that you need the shuttle to secure a spot. There is a McDonald's across the street. There is a Subway and Italian rest next door.

just stayed at the comfort inn in cocoa beach 109+ - they transported us directly to pier and we're right on target for time - we got free drinks in lounge and kids got tokens for game room - nice pool, safe and secure - right next door to ron jon surf shop was able to shop at midnight and come back - very personable~ highly recommend!
