Empress of the Seas (Nordic Empress) 12/06/04

So it's our 1st cruise and this is the one we chose. Can anybody give me any feedback (good or bad) about the ship and crew? Also wondering if anyone else has taken this specific cruise. It's the 11 Night Exotic Caribbean cruise, with stops in St.s Maarten, Barts, Kitts & Lucia. Also, Barbados, Grenada, Venezuela, Curacao,and Aruba. Looking for info on these ports too.

I'm sure you'll get info on your specific cruise but in my opinion you're going to spoil yourself. An 11 day really gets you in the cruise mode and the only downer to it is that it comes to an end. I've been to all of those islands albeit quite some time ago. My favs were Curacao and Barbados but it all depends on what you're into.

I took NE (EOS)to Bermuda last summer. Great, intimate ship. The crew could not do enough for us. You will have a great time.

I totally agree! We sailed on her last February for our first cruise and had a great time. Now, with the changes she's undergoing, your trip will be great. Smaller ship, and a great crew. You'll love it !

I have sailed on it twice before the overhaul. We just booked the same cruise for April 2005 because the ports are so fabulous. I advise flying into San Juan at least one day early in case of any flight hassels. The ship overhaul is extensive from what RCCL told me - added balconies, moved and enlarged the casino, revamped the wind jammer as well as the theatre.

We are also going to be on this cruise for our honeymoon. I haven't been to any of the islands on the intinerary, so we have a lot of research to do.

heard nothing but great things from table mates while on mariner. we had to book while on mariner since there ratings were so high from empress of seas.
