 Taking a number of suggestions that I received on CC, I have sent several emails to Canopy Tours de Los Veranos requesting reservations for 5 adults in October, we will be aboard the HAL's Oosterdam, but have not received any repy. Has anyone else had simular problems and if not does anyone have a suggestion as how to get hold of them. Thanks for your help.

Well once again CC comes thru. It was only a half hour or so ago that I left the above message, and after not receiving any answer to my emails, there it was, an email from Los Veranos. Now if we can just get them to correct the # of adults going we will have it all set for our "Great Adventure". Not my adventure, my DH and friends adventure. I will be at the Krystal Hotel, along with the sponses of the Adventurer's having wonderful facial's and massages.

You sure you dont want to do the Canopy Tour as well, then get massages??
It is a complete blast and your missing out :)
They will have a fun time and it really is a good company to go with.

Oh, how I wish I could do the Canopy Tour, but believe me I would make a fool of myself. A few years ago we were in Stockholm, Sweden walking across a bridge and I was overcome with anxiety and another time we were driving with friends in Germany in the Mt.s near the Eagle's Nest, my husband was parking along side the road to enjoy the view. Well, let me tell you I don't think anyone enjoyed it very much as I was a mess! The height of the massage table is just right for me. But I really do appreciate your thoughts, maybe in my next life. That will be the life that I can sing and am not afraid of heights.

Wandering Wino's.... I'm also trying to get a reservation confirmation through Canopy Tours Los Veranos... I submitted a reservation via their website but didn't get a confirmation... called down there (on my cell phone!) but the phone on their end kept cutting out so we couldn't communicate properly. I just sent them an email and hope to hear from them. We'll be on the Oosterdam starting Oct 1... our first cruise with about 15 other first-cruisers!!!!

Wow, are you going to have a lot of fun, 15 other first-time-cruisers, you guys will be out of control. I wish I had the answer as how to get a response from Canopy De Los Veranos, the name on the bottom of the confirmation I received is Sylvie Scopazzo not sure if that will help or not. If I hadn't read such good reviews about this group not sure I would have waited to hear from them after sending several emails.
What a great time you have ahead of you, enjoy!

Paul tg4440 What i meant for the "Wandering Wino's" was after the canopy tour at her hotel ( The Krystel) to get a massage . For you ,obviously you can book one on your cruise ship. You should'nt be sore after though. ( i did it in Feb. and had no problem)
I was encouraging her to go ahead and do it but if you have a fear of heights then i suppose not.
Have fun though because it is a blast, blast blast. They have a restaurant/bar there for after that was really, really good. I had an awsome grilled seafood lunch. I am off to P.V tomorrow again for a week and ahalf but have not decided if i will do the tour again.

Wandering Wino-------I LOVE THE NAME!!!!!!!!!
So sorry you have a problemo with heights. For that- i would not go either.
Have a great time there, by the way if you love wine the way i think you do, bring your own to P.V . Awfully expensive there , not good selections. I have my 4 bottles packed and ready to go. ( i leave tomorrow) :)

I made my reservation last week on their website and have not yet gotten an e-mail confirmation. Hopefully they will get back to me. The site was not very clear that my reservation went through. After I submitted the page, I was taken back to the home page, no "we've received your reservation" at all.

Your are so right about the wine in Mexico! First of all if you can find any California wine it is very pricey and not necessarly the best. We will be bring 2 cases of wine aboard when we sail. There are 4 other couples cruising with us and most of them are really into wine, one night at dinner we will have a wine tasting with each couple contributing one of their favorate wines. We try to visit the wine country including Napa & Sonoma at least twice a year, we also go to Yositmite in the winter to enjoy their vintner's holidays. You probably can see why I picked Wandering Wino as a name. :D

I booked a tour for December and received a response in 2 days. The DH and I are looking forward to this adventure! We are seniors and I have a fear of heights but I said what the heck I won't look down or at least try not to! I heard there was a hike back to the restaurant can you give me an idea as to how far etc. Also, where did you pick up transportation from the pier?

You will need to take a cab to the Los Vernos office, and then board a van to take you up to the zip lines. All of the information should be in the email from Sylvia at Los Vernos when she confirms your reservation.

How much is it including the taxi if we book it on our own?

Here is a link to the internet site where we booked. I really don't remember the price but it was quite a bit less than doing it through the cruise ship, and we weren't in a large group. Also, the Los Vernos seemed to have the most lines (15) and had received better reviews than the location the ship used.

For those having trouble reach Los Veranos Canopy Tour - Sylvie is on vacation, we learned, after also trying to reach her several times - she has always responded almost immediately in the past.
We were able to complete our reservation after hearing from Doris. I would suggest sending an email - Attention Doris - it worked for us. Don't know when Sylvie will return from vacation.

Thanks for the update regarding Los Veranos Canopy Tours. I figured it had to be something like that as they had received so many good reviews on CC. Our Adventurer's are all set, in fact last night at a pre-cruise party (yes I know our cruise isn't until Oct. 22nd, but we like to party):D , I think another lovely lady was talked into participating. The margurita's were a little strong, so she may change her mind by morning. :p

Did you pay when you got to the office or ahead of time? Did they take US money or pecos?

We reserved our spots on line and received a discount (10%), but I don't believe we paid until we arrived. We paid in US cash, I believe they charge you a fee for using your credit card. We had printed out reservation forms which showed the discount.
