In previous post the text never showed up. I was attempting to let fellow cruisers know that on this crossing with the T.Dorsey orch. that Louis Bellson, drums: Buddy De Franco, clarinet; and Lynn Roberts, vocalist will be guests! What a great treat. Do some of you remember that Louis Bellson was married toPearl Bailey and is one of the all time great drummers? Also Buddy De Franco has played with "all" the big ones and Lynn started out at age 15 with Charlie Spivak. Or.....am I the only "old" one going on this cruise???? joyous

We're not that old, but still looking forward to hearing the band. Thanks for the info.

I could write in green ink because of how envious I am of you getting to hear that great band. I was lucky enough to be on the crossing in April with the TD band and Buddy Morrow and it was spectacular! But Louie Belson. Wow! I really enjoyed their Galaxy Lounge concerts and - though I don't dance much anymore - would always go up to the Palm Court after dinner and hear them play until the last note. Have a great time everyone.

Jim, We were on with them on a crossing in April also and really enjoyed it. I saw it posted once that the "guests" would be joining in on the cruise and haven't seen it again. It was posted on Crystal's website. We will listen for you, too, and tell you about it when we get back. I won't miss a beat, I can tell you that. We were on with the Glenn Miller once also. That was good too. I guess I'm just a big band person; my father played the drums with Ted Weems very first band. Just love that music! joyous

I remember you and Pete. That crossing was the fastest nine days I ever spent in my life. We were in NY a few weeks ago and got to have dinner on the Symphony before it sailed on the New England run. Saw Keiko and Kelly Fritz and all the family favorites. I'm going to be on the QM2 while you're listening to the Dorsey Band. Let;s compare notes when we get back. Jim

Please........refresh my memory. I know you're Jim. Were you also in the watercolor class?? At 70+ I have to look in my Guest List booklets and read my notes about who we met. Joy

Forgot, that was a fast nine days but we stayed on to Rome. First time we ever did a back to back and I'm hooked. Wish I could always do that. Joy

Gotcha!!!!! And you were really good and we love her too!!!!! Just needed a clue...Thanks. Wish you were going to be on with us this time. We are also going to Amazon Riv. in Feb on symphony..Any chance you are??? There are lots of people we know on this crossing, some of them my clients. I never travel as an agent, so have lots of fun and meet lots of people. There was a guy with the orchestra whose wife was Cyndy??? and played the bass fiddle and I wonder if she is still on with the Galaxy orch. You were so good! We loved your "talks" and hope like heck to be on with you again. If you ever come to Houston/Sugar Land look us up. Nite Mr. B joyous

Funny you should say Houston. There is a theatre there called STAGES Repertory that emailed me today about producing my new play in their next season - so I will be there if it all works out. In February, I'll be doing the third leg of the world cruise from Papeete to Melbourne on the Serenity. Wish I could learn how to bi-locate. Thanks for your kind words and make sure you post a long, juicy, newsy review when you get home. Jim

Be sure and let us know when you come to Houston. We'd love to see you. I will send my email address to you thru your website/agent and my phone number. We know about Stages. Years ago when it first got started our neighbor was on the board. Will have to look for your autobio and hope to get it autographed. Like your web. When you come to Houston you will have to meet Rob Landes( he's our fave) and he toured with Marilyn Maye and others. Maybe you already know him. Have a great weekend. Joy
