We used Art's Shuttle service in March and were very pleased with their services.
We flew into the Orlando airport and the cost was $50.00 for 1-3 passengers and $10.00 for each additional person.
We felt the service was very good and the price was much cheaper than what we had paid in the past.
Hope this helps.

total Hi! I haven't tried these guys out yet, but did contact them for information about shuttle service. We need it from Orlando to Cocoa Beach. They emailed me this:
"The rate is $25.00/$27.00 (depending on destination) per person for 1st two paxs
each additional pax is $10.00 one way.
Our departures from the Orlando airport start at 9 a.m. every two hours until 7pm."
I also contacted Busy Traveler Transportation (busyt@ix.netcom.com) and they quoted me $120 round trip, but I don't know if that is per person or for 2 people (I just emailed to find that out).
Another one I contacted was Able Transportation, and they quoted me $65 one way for two passengers. (able@ableshuttle.com)

You might check out FL Tours. They are very friendly and have nice clean vehicles. We used them for transport from the airport to our hotel in Orlando a few weeks ago. http://www.fltours.com/

Has anyone ever used Port Canaveral Cruise Shuttles?
http://portcanaveralcruiseshuttles.com/
Looks like their rate is $80 for round trip for 2 ppl. That's the lowest rate I've seen but I'm not sure if they are reliable...

budget rent a car. you can do one way rentals, return the car to their cape canaveral location (right near the port) and take their free shuttle to the port. its an easy drive, about an hour, all on one road from the airport to the port and car rental agency. its probably cheaper than shuttles.

My pet peeve. The 2PM post resurrected a thread from 2004, that’s right 2004. If anyone just reads the first few posts, they are likely to have some bad info.
The search feature is a good tool, but please do not add any info to a thread that has not seen a post in 8 years.
Thanks,
M

Is Budget Rental Car the closest to the Port??? I found a promo code on one of these threads for Budget rental car. With Budget do you pay for your reservation up front or when you arrive

not sure if they are the closest, but you can see the ship from there. so they are pretty close. they do offer free shuttle service to and from the port. I believe you have to give a credit card when you pick up the car but you get charged when you return it.

Thank-You so much. I am going to reserve our car today to ensure that I can use the promo code

Another idea I have used with many clients. You can rent a car, park at Cruise Parking of Port Canaveral...on Face Book and they have a web site. They will take great care of your client, unload their luggage and take them to their ship..around $6 a day. They pay commission to agents. This will give your clients more freedom to see the area and not WAIT for shuttles, etc
why would you pay for a rental car to sit in a parking lot for a week?

With a rental car you have more freedom to come and go. Also if it is less than 7 days...many 3-4 day cruises...you can explore the area and not sit waiting for air port shuttles. Many shuttles stop along the way to pick up more people. The rental car companies offer some great deals. Ends up being cheaper than the shuttle. Even if it is a few dollars more it is worth being able to make your own plans. I love having my own rantal car when I travel brcause I usually like to add a few days before or after my cruises to see the area.
I agree, reting a car is best. however, most agencies have locations right near the port that offer free shuttle service to and from the port. why should I pay for a rental car and for parking it for a week or 3-4 days when i can return it before boarding and then pick it up again upon disembarkation?

We are renting a car as well from the airport to port canaveral. We went with Budget. I just checked the rates today and it dropped $15 since I originally booked it. So I just revised my reservation. I used a promo code found on these boards. Can't beat a 24 hr. rental for $29 that includes taxes. We are coming in the day before and it'll be so worth having a car. This way we can go to dinner and make any needed stops before boarding the ship. So much better and cheaper than getting a shuttle!

This is the worst advice I have ever seen on CC. The only time this would actually benefit anyone is if the total cost of the extended rental plus the daily parking fee was less than a one or two day rental. Highly unlikely.

See the part I highlighted in the OP's post. They recommend it because it pays a commission. That post should be deleted.
