I have heard about massages ranging from $20-30 for anywhere from a 30-45 minute massage. Can any of you who have been there and have recieved a massage tell me where I can get one for a good rate? Are they available at the port for these awesome rates or do I need to go into Majual?

I don't know if massages are available in the cruise line built port facilities at Costa Maya, but I do know I saw them in Mahahual for $20 for 30 minutes.

Yes you could get them right in the main area just off the pier. They had a little curtained booth thing just behind the pool. IIRC it was $25 for 30 minutes, $40 for 45 minutes, and I think it was $20 for 15 minutes.

I can't wait! So it sound like they are cheaper in Mahahual. Can you haggle a rate for a longer massage? Anyone done that?

My cruisin partner haggled for $35 for the hour but tipped after too.

We pretty spent pretty much the whole day there. It was probably my familie's favorite stop on the cruise.

We got ours, $20. for 40 minutes in a 2 story bar in Mahahual. I do not know the name but it has a Coca cola roof and swings for barstools. It is very private and the massages were great!!!

Thank you all for the info. Having never been to Mahahaul, these pictures and tips will help greatly. So it sounds like my wife and I can get a 1hr. massage easily for $40 pp. And that can be either at the port or in Mahahaul. Hmm... Maybe a 2hr????

I've had 1.5 hour massage and they go by so quicky.

If it weren't for our 3pm appointments at Liberty's spa (at $99/50 minutes), I would've stayed on the beach for the $20/30 minutes! On top of that, the Majahual beach massages are right on the beach and less than 50 ft from ocean so we could've let the kids continue to play and still supervise them!

No, they don't, but what do you expect for the price. I just used my own that I had with me and laid it down. No big deal.

Good idea, I hadn't thought about taking my own, but if we are going to be at the beach, I would have one. Duh!

At the restaurant El Faro we got our massages $20 for 40 min. also. It was AWESOME!!! Well worth double that amount. I tipped $10.
