Has anyone used a ncl coupon for the $100 off a cabin, or the $200 off. We sent our coupon in and the TA doesn't know if we can use it. Why do they print them and advertise this?

Hi, where do you get these coupons?

They have them in the entertainment book, there are 2 on a page. They offer $100 off 7 day and
$200 off longer cruises. I am paying for my cruise this week, I gave them the coupon months ago, and my TA doesn't have an answer yet on when we can use it.

We are attempting to use the coupon on our PoA curise 9/5. According to the coupon, we have fulfilled any restrictions that NCL imposes on them, and we hope to get the discount. Time wil tell!

Hi Linda, I am waiting for an answer from my TA,
she mailed it off the ncl and needs an answer from them. As far as I see, my trip doesn't show any restrictions. I actually bought a coupon from ebay for like $1.50, then I had bought the book from kids as a fundraiser and the same coupon was in there. The entertainment book has 2 on one page.

I have those coupons also, and was wondering if I could use them/it. It seems that every time I have a coupon....it doesn't apply LOL Do I notify NCL directly or send them to my TA? Do I wait until my finaly payment is due? Or should I send them on ahead? Any help will be greatly appreciated

I have the entertainment book with the coupon.
Unfortunately, I purchased it after my final payment.
The coupon in my Hawaii 2004 book states:
"This coupon may be redeemed at NCL or thru your travel professional. Savings are per stateroom for ocean view, balcony and suite staterooms only on select sailings departing prior to Dec. 31, 2004.
Excludes: Holiday sailings, categories H and HH on all ships, AG on Norwegian Crown, AG and BE on Dawn and Star, AG and O on Norway, BD and BE on Sky, AF and BE on Norwegian Sun.
Not combinable with any other discounted offer, reduced rate, guaranteed or Run-of-Ship fares.
Applies to cruise-only and Air/Sea guests.
Orig. coupon must be submitted with final payment"
Hope this helps. I hope all get their discounts! Enjoy your cruises either way - I sail in 40 days! WOOHOO!

Send it to your TA before your final payment, they will send it to the cruise line with the info needed, I am paying my final payment this week, and they don't have an answer for us yet, but they said that they would credit our charge the $100 credit. If you have the coupon, definetly try to use it, a $100 is
not bad. When I get an answer I will let you all know how it worked.

It also depends on the situation. If I had originally booked with NCL at their overinflated rates, there would have been no problem. But being that I bargain shopped on an internet site, got the lowest price available, and went to my TA with it, who honored the price, she said no way could the coupon be used. Considering I saved well over $200 by booking this route, it was a better deal than saving $100 with the Entertainment Coupon! If the cruise is booked directly with NCL or you pay near or at their prices with a TA, there should be no problem with it.

I actually saved alot on my cruise also, they have an internet site, but I called them directly for a price and they were way cheaper than ncl, I dont know what other people have paid, but when I went to a TA I was quoted $800 more for my cruise than I got it for. They haven't said no so far on the coupon.

NCL also sends out a coupon when you get a brochure thru their web site. I've never been able to use it because I use the compass rewards.

It says on the coupon that it is not combinable with a reduced rate or any other discounted offer. So that lets them off the hook. Who here actually pays the cruiseline price. My internet agent said she couldn't possibly take the coupon because my rate was so low. I guess if you go to a travel agent that is making $$$$ off your booking they will refund you the $100 out of their commission.
